Hallo from Kvitfjell Norway!
Team Stef and Trish had a very exciting weekend in Crans Montana for the World Cup last weekend with us both finishing in the points in the Downhill on Sunday! I finished 30th with a solid DH run, but the highlight of the day was watching Stef (the final racer) cross the finish line in 23rd position scoring her first ever WC points! I felt all the same emotions that I felt in St. Moritz when I had my best result of the season and immediately started crying and ran to hug her in the finish where she was quite literally jumping around with joy. I’ve witnessed first hand how hard Stef has been working and to see it finally pay off with a 23rd was amazing, and it was even more exciting that I also finished in the points with my second best WC finish this year. A true testament to the potential of our little Independent Team :)
We are super excited to keep building on this momentum into the last World Cup weekend of the season that starts tomorrow with a SG! We’ve already had two days of DH training runs and the track is so much fun, the snow is amazing, and we’re ready to get into Super G mode in what should be an exciting race. We run bib 47 (me) and 48(Stef) and the race will be streamed on Usskiandsnowboard.live again.
There will be another SG on Sunday and a Dh on Saturday as well, and I’m very much looking forward to giving these last World Cups my all!
